1. Astroomy: My favorite topice was how the Moon controled the tides. The reason is becaus i never knew that the moon controled the tides. But when i think about it water isn't like rock, the gravity from the moon pulls the water causing tides around the world. Like high tides,low tides, spaing tides, and neap tides.

2. Weater and Climate (Earth's Atmosphere):My favorite topic was the diffrent levels of the atmosphere, cause I always thought that the atmosphere was a huge cloud of gas surounding Earth. the diffrent levels of the atmosphere are the Troposphere, the Stratosphere, the Mesosphere, the Thermoshpere, and the Exoshpere.

3. Geology: my favorite topice was how they made map projections. Like the Mercator Projection, the Equal-Area projection, the Conic projection, and the Interrupted projection. The reason is because i thnk its amzing how geologists can use these diffrent kind of projections to help find locations.

4. Weathering and Erosion: My fravorite topice was how mechanical weathering worked. Like freezing and thawing, release of pressure, plant growth, actions of animals, and abrasion.

5. Earth's waters: My favorite topice was how we treat drinking water. The reason is because I have always woundered how we did that and now i know. The filtration and cleaning of the water is amzing, like the settling basins, or aeration.

1. What, specifically about your topic, are you going to research? A: ways to conserve energy in homes.

2.What conclusions did you come to? What do you recommend average citizens do to make a difference? Be specific. This is the main part of your assignment. A: The conclusion i came to is that people need to turn off un used light bulbs off or other appliances. Another is turn up your thermostat and use energy efficient light bulbs. Energy efficient light bulbs burn less energy and don't burn you when you touch them. The reason you should turn your thermostat down is because the thermostat will use less energy than before. Some others are that people need to turn down their refrigerator to about 37 degrees, and to have dishwashers that have the drying cycle turned off because you can had dry the dishes. Another is to replace old appliances with new, energy saving, appliances. The reason is because old appliances use more energy than newer appliances.

Procedure: place a penny on some paper and drop water drops onto of the penny and see how many the penny can hold

Prediction: the water will over flow with three drops

Outcome: the water over flowed on twenty drops on the penny

Explanation: the positive hydrogen ends of one water molecule attract the negative oxygen ends of nearby water molecules. as a result, the water molecules tend to stick together.

Dear Reader,
I have recently visited the Mekong River in South Asia.I went there for being a tourist. Somethings I saw when I was there was a lot of fish, also different cultures sine it passes through South Asia, China, and Vietnam. Where the river is by the Himalayas its colder, but by Vietnam it gets a little warmer.A lot of people go fishing there and bath there also they canoe there. The rivers water goes from slow to calm to fast and then over again. Corps growing near are sugar cane and corn. The fairy bush, bauhinia variegata candida, and the river palm. Animals there are mug pig, basin,tadpoles, and fish. Around this river there is a lot of delta's because the waters force is so big.

ozone and ozone depletion

Ozone or O3 is three oxygen atoms. Its like protctive shild aginst uvratiation. the ozone is located in the stratosphere. some of the ozone is in the troposphere witch is bad for breathing in.

how ozone depletion is where the green house effect is getting stronger witch makes the ozone start to deplet. carbon dioxide makes the green haous effect to warm up more then normal. this problem wouldn't happen if there where more forests, because plants take carbon dioxide and turn it into oxygen.

acid rain

The issues are that acid rain affects lades, trees, and wild life. Causes are bruning coal. Witch makes sulfer oxides. Nitrogen oxides and sulfer oxides combind with water makes nitric acid and sulfuric acid. Some conqences are damaged buildings and statues, and kills or harms plants, ampfibions, fish, and insects. A solution could be not to burn coal.

The book "Zoom"is about going fron one thing to another. The thing that it starts with is the top of a chicken's haed and goes all the way to the earth from far away. It is amazing on how you don't even expect the next to the other

There are many things in the field of Science and one of them are Astronomy. Astronomy is where astronomers study stars, space, and many other things. The most common thing that astronomers study is our solar system.

Enigma Box

The skills scientists use are observation, inferring, predicting, and classifying. This skills help scientists study the world. The skills where used to help me figure out the enigma box. The enigma box is a puzzle. I had to use observation and inference to find out how it worked.

The observations I made where that nothing happened until 470ml. where poured in that the water came out. When 100ml. was was poured nothing happened. At 200ml. little drops started to come out. At 300ml. the drops came more quick. I couldn't under stand how or why it did that so I had to make an inference.

The inference I made was that when it reached a level it would let all the water out. Or it was like a trick glass was inside of it and wouldn't pour out until it got to the top. Maybe there is a little man in there and lets the water out when ever he wants.

The enigma box was puzzling, but I finally found out how it worked. My guess wasn't correct. i guessed it was like a trick glass. It would fill up until it got to the top and then it would let the water out. I was right about one thing, that when it was full it would lit the water out. There was a curved straw in there, so when the water went above the straw it would let the water out.
